I was honored to have my dolls featured in an issue of Discover Dolls Magazine.
About six years ago, while shopping with a friend in New Hampshire, we visited a doll shop. I had never been in a store devoted completely to dolls. I was surprised by the realism of many of them. Another year later I decided I wanted to buy one but the doll store was closed. I started searching Ebay for realistic baby dolls and found OOAK dolls sculpted by hand out of clay. I bought a mini and, after inspecting it, I wanted to make one myself. I purchased clay and materials and started sculpting right away. I now work out of a studio in my Cape Coral, Florida home. I have learned a lot over the years and constantly strive to achieve the most life-like results from everything I sculpt. |
